Before becoming a Traveling Pipeline Wife (TPW) the one day of the week I looked forward to the most, as most people with normal jobs do, was Friday. I would always wake up on a Friday morning and say to myself TGIF! When Mat was home between jobs, Friday was considered our date night since I only had to work maybe one Saturday a month at the bank. Now that my occupation has changed to a full-time TPW I find myself thinking TGIS (Thank God its Saturday). In Mat's occupation they work 6 days a week 10-12hr days which explains why we both look forward to Saturdays. However, this can change and depending on the spot he and his welder get put on they sometimes have to work Sundays, which has happened the last two Sundays. Now it is Friday and I'm cursing through the TV stations and Facebook and seeing everyone excited about Friday. I might just have to throw people off and post tomorrow mornings statues at TGIS!
