Birth Control for Men.... Get Real!

Birth Control for Men... Seriously! Why are we spending money on research for things like this instead of curing cancer, aids, etc... As I'm sitting here watching the news, let me remind you it is Oklahoma news, they are talking about how researchers have come up with a pill men can take that will prevent them from having kids. The scientist claims the mice have been taking it for over a year and have not shown anything abnormalities but they have yet to determine if the mice can produce once the pill is stopped. What really irritated me was the female news anchor got all excited about the birth control for men and stated men can start being apart of the trial in 5 years. Why is she excited? Does she think this means women will not have to take the pill anymore? Lets get real people... men have a hard enough time remembering to put the toilet seat down. On top of that they hate going to the doctor when they are sick or hurt. Mat, like the average man, even hates taking pills so what makes these scientist and researchers think these men will take this birth control? If you ask the average man he would probably remember to bring protection then to take a pill daily. The men who are probably more likely to take the pill will be married and only remember because they have a supporting or nagging wife!
