New Year Kiss!

Happy 2013!!! As some were ringing in the New Year with there elegant dresses and festive party hats... I was just fighting to stay awake until midnight to get the famous midnight kiss everyone wants. At 10 minutes until 2013 arrived I set my alarm clock to make sure I wouldn't miss the kiss from my husband. I know I know... I couldn't just stay awake that 10 minutes. Wish I could say yes but the end of 2012 did not come as joyous as I had planned. Lets back up and let me fill you in on how we reached the setting of the alarm clock. As the New Year approached my husband, Mat, and I decided we would try the traveling pipeline marriage since we have been married 2 years now and spent a total of 6 months together. Anyway, I'm living in a 28ft camper in Prague, OK where the weather is fighting to get above freezing everyday. Little did I know that on my arrival to our wonderful camper the water would be frozen and the furnace out of service. For almost a week of not having any water and the only heater the camper was being supplied is by a floor heater along with those ever so trusty space heaters. After almost a week of no heater it was unavoidable not to get a cold. So this brings me to the setting of my alarm clock for the midnight kiss. After fighting my cold all day yesterday I just gave into it, set the alarm clock, and went to bed. Woke up 10 minutes later for the kiss from Mat to ring in 2013 and fell back to sleep until 11:30am! I slept most of my New Years Day away trying to fight my cold! Happy 2013!
