Not to worry... I haven't completely given up on my blog! A ton has been going on and I haven't had the service or the time to write and tell y'all all about it! First off we are no longer in Atoka, OK. We have moved to Canal Winchester, OH as of yesterday. We took two days to get here driving 10+ hrs each day. As much as I'm glad to be out of Tornado Alley... I'm missing my friends dearly. I know in time I will meet and make some new friends but for my first experience of living on the road with the hubby I couldn't have asked for a better group of ladies. Secondly, I got past my fear of heights and claustrophobia and adventured to the top of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis! Lastly, I have less then a month until I get to fly back to my favorite state, Texas, to see my mom and family! Count down begins... 23 days!!!

Hardcore Pawn
I like Drama... As long as I am not apart of it! I love the show Hardcore Pawn and all the drama that goes with it! The pawn shop is in the heart of Detroit right off 8 mile, which I have heard is a bad part of town. The shop attracts all kinds of people and the drama that happens in the shop is just outrageous. At least the show gives Mat and I a good laugh... Plus we stay drama free!

Spring Cleaning!
Spring Cleaning Time!!! Now how exactly is spring cleaning any different from regular cleaning??? Spring cleaning you actually clean out closets, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc... and give all the stuff not needed anymore to donation centers. Regular cleaning is just cleaning what can be seen. When I lived in a house it took a good 2-3 days to do my spring cleaning on the entire house. Living in a 37' camper it took me all of 2 hrs to do my spring cleaning. I'll take this cleaning any day over my moms 6000 sq ft home, which is taking her almost a month to spring clean!

Taxes... DONE!!!
Taxes are finally done!!! Not exactly as good as last year since I continued to work even though our tax lady told me it would hurt us, which it did. Plus side is next year will be better since I'm not working and if I do get a job when we head to Tulsa, OK it will be part time only. Now I wonder how good our taxes will be once Mat becomes a welder!

Date Night!!!!
Date Night??? Yes Please!!! My husband and I have been living like a "normal" married couple, with the exception that we live in a camper, since Dec. 27th and have yet to have a Date Night. When I say Date Night I mean I get to get all dolled up, put on a party dress, and eat at a fancy dancy restaurant. So it was nice to have a Date Night in Durant at Tokyo Hibachi & Sushi followed by a nice trip to O'Reilly for a welding machine battery. Now just to top off the night with... You know... Wink wink... Bed!

Texting Strikes Again!
Texting, cooking, & filling sink with hot water all at the same time... Equals a disaster! As I was cooking I realized I needed to do the dishes and started filling the sink with hot water. While it was filling I went back to browning the meat when I got a gossip filled text message that immediately caught my attention. I got so caught up in the gossip I didn't realize the water was overflowing from the sink until it hit my barefoot. I immediately threw my phone on the couch after turning the water off, ran to the bathroom to get some towels, and began cleaning up my horrific mess. Plus side to the disaster... I didn't burn dinner or the cookies!
Who's your hubby?
Oops... I let the cat out of the bag! When at the laundry mat and you see other wife's from the pipeline... One should always start the conversation by introducing yourself using your first and last name along with who your husband is. For instance, I'm here talking to a lady, who happens to be the head welding foreman's wife, and told her all about Mat and who he is working with and when we will be leaving this job for Ohio. After 20 minutes of conversation she tells me who her husband is and it clicks. I immediately text Mat and apologize for what rude awakening he might have tomorrow with his boss. Life lesson learned... Always find out who your talking to before spilling your laundry!

National Siblings Day
National Sibling Day!!! I was an only child up to the age of 5 when my mom started dating my now step-dad, Brad, who has two children, Christin and Phillip, who are both older then me. They lived off and on with Brad the entire time he dated my mom and after they got married. I was 11 when I could officially no longer say I was an only child but was now able to say I have step-siblings. We fight, argue, drive our parents crazy, played the blame game, and love each other just like regular siblings do. Now we are older, live in different areas, and have our family's to look after but it's always nice getting to see each other when we can. Happy Siblings Day Christin and Phillip... Love your little sister!

Nasty Weather Approaching
Warning... Tornado/Severe Weather Alert for Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in Oklahoma. Please pray for the safety of my pipeline family, Mat, and I as these storms pass through. Don't get me wrong, I love watching and listening to the lightening, thunder, and rain but when the weather system takes a turn to the more nasty side while I'm living in a camper... I need a drink or something to calm my nerves. I have already informed Mat that if he is at work and the sirens go off I'm loading up the girls and heading south to Texas for shelter. I'd almost rather just go stay the night somewhere in Dallas where I have family so I would feel safer. The camp ground we are staying in has the storm shelters above ground and the community storm shelters don't all allow dogs. I'm sorry but there is no way you could get me to leave my girls behind!

Tipping Waitresses...
Dine and Dash... Who becomes responsible when this situation arises in the restaurant industry? I have never worked at a restaurant so I'm not exactly sure how a situation like this is handled but after a conversation about dining and dashing it got me wondering. If you were at a restaurant for 3hrs, had to get your own drinks, and the waitress was down right horrible to the extent of asking for the ticket and never bringing it... Would you just leave? At some point the waitress has to realize she is doing something wrong and needs to get it together. Props to those waitresses out there who work there tails off just to be made to look bad by those who could careless. I usually tip the same no matter how good or bad the service is but after the conversation I had today I think I'll change my tipping based on the service provided!

Zoo Day!!!
Lions, tigers, and bears... Oh my! I love the Zoo! The Oklahoma City Zoo is probably one of the best zoo's I have been to. My favorite part by far was the baby elephant Malee. She's full of personality and stayed extremely close to her mom and aunt. The other great thing about this zoo is almost every habit had two or more of the same animals together. I still feel the Tyler Zoo is the best one by far I have ever seen... OKC Zoo is #2!

Candy Crush Saga
Candy Crush Saga... It's the new addiction on Facebook! I try my best not to play the games on FB since your friends will overload your page with requests to play. It's like 3 or 4 years ago when the craze was playing FarmVille on FB. I avoided playing it for as long as I could until one day Mat decided he wanted to play but wouldn't be home in time to harvest his crops and asked me to do it for him. From that moment I tried to tell myself to just play on Mat's farm but I eventually got bit by the FarmVille bug. I caved and not only started playing on FB but downloaded the app to my phone just in case I was somewhere when my plants were ready to harvest. I got so addicted I would plan my sleep around the game. Thankfully I grew out of it and quit playing and got back to reality. I vowed from that moment not to play another FB game but I decided to see what all the hype is about this Candy Crush Saga game. The worst part is right when you get into the game you lose all your life's and have to wait 30 minutes to just get one life back and the maximum you can gain is 5 life's after 2 1/2 hours. Now I have Mat playing and I hear him getting pissed and screaming at the game. All I can think is... Should have never told him about it!

Red Dawn
Watching Red Dawn with the hubby tonight hit close to home... Not a movie I suggest watching with all that's going on in America. Might be in the mood to blog tomorrow night...

Beware!!!
Beware... Dog Can't Hold it's Licker! This is the truth when it comes to Martini! Martini has this obsession of licking my feet especially if they have been in my running shoes or boots all day. The stinker the better! Mat gets so upset with her and I for allowing her to do it but the crazy thing is it feels good and tickles sometimes. So needless to say you shouldn't let Martini give you kisses...especially on your face! In case you forget... I have a sign!

When it rains...
When it rains... It pours! When it pours... It's a rain out day! Us Pipeline Wives look forward to these days since it gives us an extra day during the week to spend with our Pipeliners. However, most of the time they come back to the camper or motel and crash since they are working 6 days a weeks 10-12 hour days. Downside to a rain out day... They usually have to make the day up on Sunday. Sometimes we get lucky and the weather system works out where we get two days in a row as a rain out. I usually look forward to these days but we are in... Tornado Valley!
